Throughout his 35 years in higher education, Dean Al-Jarrah held teaching, research and administrative positions in USA, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He is a published mathematician and served as Department Chair, Director of International Exchange Program, Dean of Arts and Sciences, Dean of Student Affairs and served on many search committees for senior level positions. He also founded the Chayanne Arapaho Tribal College on the Campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University and served as its Acting President for two years.

Dean Al-Jarrah holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Approximation Theory) and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Baghdad University (Iraq). Beside English, he is also fluent in Arabic.
